Some Old Touhou Sketches

Was rummaging through my pile of old sketches yesterday and noticed several drawings that I hadn't colored yet, hence hadn't posted. Figured I'd share some of those sketches!

1. These Flames - August 2010
_{This was one of very few sketches I did on notebook paper (during a class) that turned out relatively well. I'll likely color this up eventually.}

2. First Encounter - September 2011
_{Back when I was brainstorming ideas for a Touhou fan fiction, three concepts came to mind: Marisa's history (involving Mima and Yuuka), Kanako's history (involving Satori and her relations), and Kaguya's history (involving Mokou and the Lunarians, of course). Figured I wouldn't do a Kaguya story since there's already an official backstory for Mokou, so I just drew this scene instead. I'll probably color this eventually, too.}

3. Slashes in Time - August 2010
_{There were a few things I didn't like about this piece, in particular the eyes. Though I do often tweak sizes, locations, and angles of the parts of a drawing after it's vectorized, I just never had motivation to work on this beyond the sketch.}

4. Child of the Moon (Cut) - February 2012
_{This was cut from "Master's Spark: Child of the Moon" to better focus on the other character portrayed, among other reasons. The hand is still present in the final piece.}

5. A Deal with the Devil (Cut) - January 2012
_{This was the start of the first draft of "Master's Spark: A Deal with the Devil," before I decided that a different angle for the scene was needed.}
