BSL 49: Playing with Fire

Guess who's been reading generation-old "Nyoro~n Churuya-san" comics? Despite being closely affiliated with anime, the Churuya-san series seems like something Hikari would've picked up on before Hoshi, since Hikari spends infinitely more time online than her sister.

Why is Hoshi is standing in the middle of the room reading a book when she has a perfectly good bed or sofa to read it on? (Actually she's supposed to be walking by the computer desk, but maybe she got so caught up in reading that she eventually just stood there.)

As I was putting this together, both sisters seemed a bit out of character to me, with Hikari being childish and Hoshi actually restraining herself from chopping heads. But I figure, Hikari's still a kid and a little sister after all, so she has the right to tease her older sister. And Hoshi, despite despising her own middle name, only really uses her cleaver as an empty threat (and Hikari's figuring that out).

This comic strip is easily the least subtle parody of anything since #2P.
